In this short time that it has existed, Citizen Uganda has been many things to many people. One part blog and one part news portal, this site is an amalgamation of a variety of opinions on current affairs, technology, the economy, and social development. The goal is to situate Uganda in a global context; the mission is to do so on a regular basis.
For our contributors, this website is a space to publish what they think about their topic of choice. They draw from both mainstream and alternative sources, but mostly from their own intelligence and life experiences.

Silumesii Maboshe

Silumesii has been experimenting with electronics and art forms for most of his life. So it makes sense that he is a freelance web designer, sound engineer, photographer and software developer. He moved from Zambia to Canada about 6 years ago, where his favourite pass time is watching Canadians try to pronounce his name. When Silumesii is not writing the Opening Africa series on web standards for CitizenUganda he can be found at Pencilcase Studios.
